Port Coquitlam Pride Festival

July 20, 2-5pm, Leigh Square

Pride in PoCo is an event run by the City of Port Coquitlam annually since 2019 (excepting a couple of Covid years). They put on a lovely outdoor festival with live performances from drag artists, as well as many booths for vendors and community organizations. This year will be held at the newly renovated Leigh Square, and Tri-Cities Pride Society is collaborating with them to create a day filled with joyful art!

This year we are supported by the PoCo Foundation Community Grant to bring you our free interactive art activity: design your own denim vest! We’ve engaged a lovely PoCo resident and queer indigenous textile artist Scarlet Delirium (a founding member of Virago Nation) to design and facilitate this activity. Bring your own denim vest or pick from one of the thrifted vests we supply, and let your creative mind soar as you pridefy your vest, and show your true colours for all to see! Activity appropriate for all ages.
