Join us for Tri-Cities Pride Society’s second annual Coquitlam Pride Festival, on Saturday July 19 from 12-5pm! We’re back at Evergreen Cultural Centre and Town Centre Park Community Centre, and this year we’ve expanded our space to include the studio theatre!
The day starts with a Pride Story Time for children ages 0-8 and their caregivers, put on by the Coquitlam Public Library, from 10:30-11:30am. We have our opening ceremony at noon, and then we will have a short Pride Parade through Town Centre Park along Pinetree Way. Booths and vendors will be open from 12-5pm, so get to know your local organizations and get some rainbow merch to brighten up your day! We also have free facepainting onsite, and many other activities provided by our partner organizations.
Our Music Stage this year will be outside on the Town Centre Park Community Centre patio, and we’re bringing you four amazing musical acts that you won’t want to miss!
Our Workshop Series will be held in Evergreen’s Studio Theatre, and will include our popular Drag Makeup tutorial as well as a dance workshop, a poetry workshop, and a queer indigenous speaker panel brought to you by Virago Nation!
This year our LGBTQ+ Youth Committee is bringing you their very own Youth Lounge, a youth-only space with all music, food, activities and more!
